Feminist Camp

Meet Casey Robinson! She has just started her first year of undergraduate studies.

Describe yourself and why you wanted to attend the Feminist Camp:

I am an adventurous, extroverted person. I love working hard and doing well with other ambitious people! I have always been passionate about women’s rights, and decided to attend Feminist Camp because I wanted to learn more!

Describe your favorite parts of the conference:

I have so many favorite parts! I LOVED meeting with several feminist small business owners and learning more about how they weave feminism into their company’s culture. It was also amazing meeting and talking with people who are so passionate about women’s rights.

Highlight information you learned on reproductive health and reproductive justice:

I learned about how crucial it is to actively participate in the fight for reproductive justice. Unfortunately, there is so much hate against it and it’s crucial that we combat it full force.

Detail what you learned that you hope to never forget:

I learned more about the misconceptions surrounding abortion. I’ve always been pro-choice, but even still, there was a lot of information I believed that is actually false. I hope that now that I’ve learned more about abortions, I can share with others more accurate information.

Why should other students attend a Feminist Camp:

EVERYONE should attend because it was so much fun AND so informative! You get to meet people and swap stories and information. It’s such a fun, upbeat environment but you also learn an amazing amount of information.
